SUMMARY:Feel Good Norfolk - Feel Good Discovery: Community Q&A
DESCRIPTION:An informal evening exploring community\, connection and wellbeing with three local community leaders\, with your questions at the heart of it\n\n\n\nFeel Good Discovery: Community Q&A \nWe know that wellness isn’t just about what we do as individuals. Feeling connected\, having a sense of belonging and being part of a community are an important part of our wellbeing. \nFor our very first Feel Good Discovery evening at Carrow House\, we’re bringing together three brilliant people who are creating spaces\, projects and experiences that help people connect with themselves\, each other and their communities. \nHosted by Sarah Groves\, founder of Feel Good Norfolk\, our community Q&A panel proudly brings together: \nLee Tayler – The Lions’ Den\nJackie Heffer-Cooke – Freedom Wellbeing\nTom Sutton – Sauna Box \nWe’ll explore what community and connection really mean\, why they matter for our wellbeing\, and what it takes to create spaces where people feel welcome\, included and able to belong. \nWe’ll hear the stories behind each of their organisations and the communities they’ve built\, as well as exploring the challenges\, lessons and unexpected moments that come with bringing people together. \nAnd\, most importantly\, we want this to be a conversation rather than a presentation. \nAsk the panel \nWhat would you like to know? \nWhen you book\, you’ll have the opportunity to submit a question for the panel in advance. Perhaps you’re curious about how to build a community\, create a welcoming space\, start a wellbeing project or simply want to understand more about how you can feel more connected with your local wellness community. \nYou can ask anything you’re curious about\, and there will also be an opportunity to ask questions on the evening. \nTuesday 13th October \n6.30pm – arrivals & connection\nCome along\, settle in and meet other people interested in wellbeing and community. The Lions’ Den will be providing a non-alcoholic drink to enjoy as you arrive. \n7-8.30pm – Community Q&A\nA relaxed and informal conversation hosted by Sarah\, with our panel of local wellbeing community leaders\, followed by questions from the audience. \nPay what you can \nWe want Feel Good Discovery to be accessible\, so tickets are pay what you can from £10-£25. Choose the amount that feels right for you. If £10 is what you can afford\, that’s absolutely fine. If you’re able to contribute more\, you will be helping Feel Good Norfolk continue creating accessible opportunities for connection\, wellbeing and community across Norfolk. \nEvery ticket helps support the work of Feel Good Norfolk\, our not-for-profit initiative connecting people to local wellbeing and preventative community support\, while strengthening Norfolk’s local wellbeing community. \nCome along to listen\, ask\, connect and discover. Because feeling good isn’t something we have to do alone. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nVisit the following page to view more details: \nFeel Good Discovery: Community Q&A Tickets\, Tuesday\, October 13  •  6:30 PM – 8:30 PM | Eventbrite \n  \n  \n  \n  \n  \n  \n  \n  \n

SUMMARY:Carrow House Creatives - Stellabox Designs - Introduction to Linocut Printmaking
DESCRIPTION:Learn how to make your own linocut prints in this workshop for complete beginners. \nI believe anyone can learn linocut printmaking. You don’t need an artistic background; I can provide example designs for you to use. In my workshop you’ll learn step-by-step how to make a linocut print in black ink. Prints can then be hand-coloured using watercolour when dry after the workshop if desired. You will use a variety of paper types and practice hand burnishing. \nYou’ll begin by drawing your own design or using one of the designs provided and transferring it to an A5 linocut block. As a group we’ll go through the stages of carving\, inking and printing your block either by hand or using a small press. We’ll talk about tools and techniques and you can ask as many questions as you like. Participants will leave the workshop with their linocut print and their lino block to continue making more at home if they wish. \nAll tools and materials are provided. The workshop is very hands-on\, with everything explained in demonstrations as you go along in a supportive and friendly atmosphere. \nThere is lots of free car parking on site\, the room is accessible and has an accessible toilet right next door. Please contact me if you have any questions regarding specific access requirements so I can assist you. \nTea and biscuits will be waiting for you upon your arrival. You are welcome to bring your own refreshments\, too. \nVisit the following page to view more details and book tickets: \nIntroduction to Linocut Printmaking – Stellabox Designs

SUMMARY:Bright Green Edge - Talk and Networking evening
DESCRIPTION:We Know a Lot \nWe know climate change is happening. \nWe know our choices matter. \nWe know our communities need support. \nWe know there are things we’d like to change.\n\nSo why is taking action often the hardest part?  \nJoin Jacquie Silvester MSc\, PISEP\, founder of Bright Green Edge CIC\, for an engaging and thought-provoking evening exploring the space between knowing and doing. \nWhat began as a decision to study sustainability in 2021\, led Jacquie to a bigger question:\nIf awareness is growing\, why do so many of us still struggle to take action?  \nInspired by experiences at Anthropy 2023 and the conversations that followed\, Jacquie began exploring the gap between what we know and what we actually do.  That journey led to the development of The Bright Green Edge™️\, a practical framework designed to help individuals\, organisations and communities move from awareness to action. \nThrough stories\, reflection and conversation\, we’ll explore: \n\nWhy awareness alone is rarely enough\nWhat gets in the way of meaningful action\nHow uncertainty\, perfectionism and waiting for the “right time” can hold us back\nHow small\, practical steps can create momentum and lasting change\n\nWhile rooted in sustainability\, the ideas explored during the evening are relevant to anyone trying to create a positive change within an organisation\, a community or their own life. \nWhether you’re a business owner\, charity leader\, sustainability practitioner\, community organiser or simply curious about how change really happens\, you’ll leave with fresh perspectives\, practical insights and a new way of thinking about the journey from knowing to doing. \nVisit the following page to view more details and book tickets: \nBook Tickets – The Bright Green Edge™️ – The Orangery\, Carrow House \n  \n
