ReDo – Sewing class – Duvet cover to kimono

Turn a double duvet cover into a kimono-shaped wrap or light jacket. Using the design on the cover to make a unique garment.
This 6-hour workshop will give you an opportunity to turn a double duvet cover into a kimono-shaped wrap or light jacket. Using the design on the cover to make a unique garment designed by you.
As part of ReDos Upcycling With Purpose range of workshops, you will be taught by Helen Goodard, creating beautiful things made from pre-loved materials.
Some sewing machine skills are required.
Sewing machines and basic equipment and threads required will be supplied.
Bring your own duvet cover you wish to upcycle, one bought from a charity shop or there will be opportunities to buy a duvet cover from Redo at a very reasonable price on the day.
Please choose one made from cotton or polycotton. Flimsy materials are not suitable.
Written instructions will be supplied so that you can go home and make another one.
There will be a half-hour break for lunch, so bring something to eat. Tea and coffee available.
