Help shape the next phase of a growing community hub in Norwich: Norwich Unity Hub is entering a critical new phase. In under a year, we’ve transformed Carrow House into a shared home for 26 organisations, 28 artists, and a growing network of community groups. Now, we’re moving from launch to long-term sustainability and scale.

We are looking for new trustees to join our board and help guide this next stage.

As a trustee, you’ll help shape how a new model of shared community infrastructure develops in Norwich and beyond.

 

What you’ll do

Trustees provide strategic oversight and governance. This includes:

  • Contributing to board discussions and decision-making
  • Supporting long-term planning and organisational development
  • Ensuring good governance, compliance, and sustainability
  • Offering insight from your professional or lived experience

 

We are particularly seeking experience in:

To strengthen our board, we are prioritising candidates with experience in:

  • Volunteer management and community coordination
  • IT / digital systems and infrastructure
  • GDPR and data protection
  • Legal (charity law, property, contracts, or governance)
  • Events and community programming

We also welcome applicants with broader experience across the VCSE sector, fundraising, HR, or organisational development.

 

Time commitment

  • Monthly board meetings (in-person where possible)
  • Occasional additional input depending on your expertise
  • Opportunities to engage with the Hub community and events
