NCC Community Enabling Team – Community Wealth Building: Making Norwich’s Wealth Work for Norwich

We are pleased to invite you to Community Wealth Building: Making Norwich’s Wealth Work for Norwich, a special speakers’ event taking place at Norwich City Hall on Friday 6 November.

This event, driven by a group of community leaders in Norwich is a city-level conversation which will bring together leaders from the city’s anchor institutions, councillors, policy officers, charities, community organisations and businesses and members of the public to explore how public spending and investment can stay in the area and support inclusive prosperity for our local communities.

Doors will open from 12:30pm with the event beginning at 1:30pm in the Council Chamber at City Hall. Confirmed speakers include:

• Cllr Lucy Galvin, Leader of Norwich City Council
• Cllr Matthew Brown, Senior Fellow at The Democracy Collaborative and Leader of Preston City Council
• Evelyn Henderson-Child, Senior Researcher, Centre for Local Economies
• Clive Lewis MP, Member of Parliament for Norwich South

The event will be chaired by Cllr Karen Davis, Lord Mayor of Norwich.

The speakers event is due to finish at 3pm, after which there will be a roundtable discussion for invited guests from key organisations in the City.

In addition, if you would like to take part in the roundtable discussion from 3:30pm, please also email community@norwich.gov.uk and your request will be passed on to the working group who will respond to you directly. Please note that places for the roundtable discussion are extremely limited and we cannot guarantee that all requests will be able to be accommodated.
