Bee Springwood

Bee Springwood has a studio at Carrow House Creatives. Here’s how they describe their art…

‘I am a mixed media artist, also a sounder/songwriter/dancer, combining these in performances and installations (see my social media links).

Carrow House has become a task-freeing play space. Here, I experiment with textiles (you can see one in progress in the photographs), quick drawings out the window, assembling things which might have a temporary life at a sculpture trail.

I’m also reflecting on the many photographs I continue take of the natural world, often close up. I’m very lucky to be retired from needing to earn a living. My focus now is on reclaiming Spirit in our living, making, connecting with each other and the more-than-human worlds, I want to return appreciation, gratitude, and assist the restoration of our planet.

To this end I’m also a mega recycler, repair café helper, permaculture and organic gardening/farming nut. Gardening, mending/sewing, and re-learning developing craft skills my grandparents knew is part of this art-process for me.’
